Qu-Chi Acupressure Band

The Qu-Chi Band is a class 1, non conventional medical device that alleviates the symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis. It’s an acupressure band that provides symptomatic relief naturally and without the use of drugs.

Qu-Chi Point

The Qu-Chi is Chinese for ‘crooked pond’ and it’s an acupuncture point that is located on the Large Intestine meridian. The target area of Qu-Chi band is this Meridian, which essentially begins from the forefinger and passes from the throat to the nose. All excess energy that emanates from the face and nose is thought to be pulled by the Qu-Chi Point, which is point number 11 on the Meridian line.

When you bend your elbow, you can see a skin crease; the Qu-Chi point lies at the end of the crease. The Qu Chi band will be used on this area.

How Qu-Chi band Works?

The Qu-Chi band works only when the band is placed over the arm. The position of the band must be such that the button is placed right above the outer elbow area. This means that the button must be as close to the Qu-Chi point as possible. One of the straps of the Qu-Chi band must be placed below and the other above the elbow.

Now all you need to do is bend your elbow in a way such that the button presses the Qu- Chi point, namely the outer end of the elbow crease. This is how the Qu-Chi band works.

Basic info on migraine headache

Migraine headache is one of the most common types of headache. The migraine headaches are quite typical and also very painful. Migraines are known to affect more women than men. It is estimated that about two-thirds of people who get migraines are women – this is because of the influence of particular female hormones. Migraines may also run in families.

Migraine types

There are two main types of migraine headaches –

Migraine with aura (classic migraine) – In this type of migraine victims experience an ‘aura’ typically 10 to 30 minutes before actual migraine headache begins. While going through a migraine aura people may see flashing lights, zigzag lines or even a temporary loss of vision. Some people also feel pins and needles sensations in one arm or leg and also face speech difficulty.

Migraine without aura (common migraine) - Most people experience migraines without aura. People experiencing migraine without aura face the same symptoms as experienced in classic migraine except the aura.
